Twenty-five years ago we first set foot on the land that is now the Kenya Hope Center. On that crucial day, it was quite a sight. Bodies from a cholera outbreak in the adjacent slum had been piled high on the property, awaiting removal by city workers. We were told that the land had a local nickname: Hell’s Hole. But as we looked at the site we saw something entirely and dramatically different. Surveying the dire surroundings we envisioned a place of rescue and transformation—a Hope Center. It would take years of diligent work and significant investment, but today no one would ever imagine that the grounds of the Kenya Hope Center were once known by such a devilish name. Where there was darkness there is now light; where there was death there is now life. It is evident in the thousands who have been touched by ministry in this special place that is now home to Hope Church, led by Pastor Brian King, and to the hundreds of boys and girls at Hope Academy. The Kenya Hope Center, overlooking one of Africa’s largest slums, is a steady beacon of spiritual light.Rescuing Children and Transforming Their Lives

Over 100 years ago a hostel and school was established by missionaries in the city of Ajmer which became the location of the first Hope Center in India. The mission back then was to train and equip children. Over the course of many years the facilities became more and more run down and funding eventually dried up. In late 2014, after the loss of a little boy named Mason who had a heart for the children of India, Hope Partners felt led to explore the possibilities of establishing a home and school for orphan children.
After much prayer and multiple visits it was clear to both Hope Partners and the Church of North India (a large Christian denomination) that God was opening the door for a partnership with the focus of rescuing children and transforming their lives. In 2016, Hope Partners International and the Church of North India partnered on this initiative and began renovating the 7-acre compound in Ajmer and making it into a Hope Center, a place of rescue and transformation. Since then Hope Partners has established Hope Centers in other locations in India.
Each Hope Center in India has a school, called Hope Academy, which endeavors to equip students for lives of effective service. What was once a hostel is now called home by hundreds of children. Although the work is difficult and the challenges are many, we are seeing God do amazing things in the children’s lives. Hope Center India has become a beacon of spiritual light in a dark and difficult area.
One of the most exciting ways to partner with the work at Mason’s Place is through sponsoring a child. For $79 a month you are able to cover all the educational expenses plus food, clothing, housing and medical care. As a sponsor you also have the great opportunity to be encouraged by quarterly updates from your child and you will have the ability to send a message of encouragement and love. This is a great way for a family to connect and care for a child in desperate need. Please prayerfully consider partnering with us in the work at Hope Center India as we seek to rescue and transform the lives of abandoned, abused and marginalized children.
After Communism failed in Romania, a missionary from North Dakota moved here to begin serving the thousands of orphans on the streets. Desperate children were sleeping in dangerous, foul-smelling sewer tunnels. They were clothed in filthy rags and often barefoot, even in the dead of winter. The children were malnourished and often beaten by the police, abused by predators and effectively rejected from society. These neglected children, barely surviving, had no hope for a future. Many of them turned to volatile substance use (VSU) to dull the pain of hunger and abandonment, leaving many brain-damaged or worse.
For many years, the Constanta Children’s Home cared for these orphans but eventually lost financialsupport and barely survived. In 2021, Hope Partners International officially adopted the orphanage to form a new Hope Center. Just like the other Hope Centers worldwide, Hope Partners is dedicated to rescuing and transforming the lives of the children in this region for years to come.
Sponsoring a child through Hope Partners is one of the most life-changing decisions you can make. By sponsoring one or more children, you enable our Hope Center in their country to provide vital support and meet the needs of each child — breaking the cycle of poverty and hunger in Jesus' name.

Sponsorship provides needy children with a place to live, a place to learn, and opportunities to grow. For many of our children, like the kids at Mason’s Place, a place to live means a full-time home. We provide everything for them—a comfortable bed, nutritious food, decent clothes and shoes, physical care, and purposeful activities.
For others, like the children who come daily to the Hope Center in Costa Rica, a place to live means a safe haven, away from the constant danger of the slums. But we also feed these children, and for most of them it’s their only meal of the day.
A place to learn describes the educational component—which looks different in different places. In some, like the Hope Centers in India and Kenya, it is a traditional school with a traditional structure. But at the Hope Center in Costa Rica, the emphasis is on teaching special skills and cultivating creative minds through a wide variety of classes.
Opportunities to grow happen at every Hope Center as the children we have rescued and cared for experience life in a totally new way. These precious girls and boys, many of whom had been abandoned and some who were literally thrown on the garbage heap, come alive as they encounter Christ and His love. By His grace they truly become new creations in Christ and shining examples of His transforming power.
Hope Partners’ approach to child sponsorship is purposeful and strategic.
First of all, we don’t “subcontract” with other organizations in providing for needy children. We have direct, daily contact with the girls and boys in our care. We know them, we love them and we do everything in our power to make their lives better and more meaningful.
Also, in the countries where we serve we use the term scholarship, not sponsorship. One reason is because education is always central to what we provide. Another reason is that we’ve learned by experience that scholarships are understood and appreciated in these nations, but sponsorships are often viewed with suspicion. We choose to use the terminology that works best and facilitates the best work.
Here in the U.S. we still call this a “child sponsorship program” — but as a sponsor you are actually providing a scholarship. And because the needs vary from country to country and place to place, we have streamlined the program to two levels of support: The Edify Level and The Amplify Level.
Whichever level you choose, you can be sure that your generosity will make a lasting difference in a child’s life—a difference that only eternity can measure..
An Edify scholarship covers all the educational expenses and some other basic needs for a deserving child.
For only $39 per month you can provide a needy child with an Edify scholarship.
An Amplify scholarship covers all the educational expenses plus food, clothing, shoes, housing and medical care. Think of it as a “full-ride” scholarship.
For $79 per month you can provide all the blessings and benefits of an Amplify scholarship.
